The Recruitment and Retention Specialist (Recruiter) works as part of Seneca's Resource Family Recruitment team to attract, screen, approve, and support resource families across all Placement programs.
The Recruiter is responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of recruitment strategies and representing the agency in the community.
They work in partnership with Placement programs to ensure approved resource families represent the needs of the community and to increase family retention.
The Recruitment and Retention Specialist role is a hybrid remote role, and must be located locally (Monterey County or San Luis Obispo County), as this role requires an in-person presence within our community, ABOUT PLACEMENT Seneca's Placement Programs operate with a core belief that every child deserves a family.
Families are recruited, trained, and certified to provide permanency and safety for children of all ages who are not able to remain with their family of origin.
Some are impacted by behavioral, emotional, developmental, or medical challenges and many have experienced trauma and loss.
The program provides youth and children with the safety, stability, and support of a nurturing and trauma informed family.
Placement will match approved families with children who need homes and provide children and families ongoing support and resources.

Responsibilities:
Develop targeted recruitment strategies to meet the recruitment goal in each designated region Develop community awareness of Seneca's foster care programs and opportunities for different types of caregiving Attend fairs, events, and conferences to promote Seneca's Placement programs as needed Deliver enthusiastic and professional presentations to the public about caregiver needs Facilitate informational orientations for potential applicants Support resource family applicants in completion of the certification process, including fullyutilizing all organizations systems, including but not limited to Binti, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Screen and evaluate resource family applicants fit for Seneca's Placement programs, including in-person home evaluations as needed Assess for applicant understanding of Trauma-Informed Care and Unconditional Care philosophies as they apply to caring for high-needs youth Develop and implement resource family retneitioin and support strategies as needed Work in collaboration with Placement and treatment teams to align recruitment and retention strategies with community needs Develop understanding of Community Care Licensing Regulations and, in collaboration with the program staff, ensure program and family compliance with regulation Maintain accurate documentation and paperwork including, but not limited to, time sheets, expenses, and mileage Maintain professional behavior at all times, appropriately representing Seneca's mission and philosophy Participate in supervision with the Supervisor or esignee Attend trainings as required Maintain a flexible schedule, with possible evenings and weekends
Qualifications:
Experience of interest in working with vulnerable communities and diverse populations Bilingual skills preferred Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills Computer literacy Own vehicle, valid California Driver's License and insurance Clean driving record Clearance of TB test and LiveScan fingerprinting Schedule:

22 per hour, additional compensation provided upon passing bilingual language proficiency exam.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
